Girl of the Day - Judy Garland
Since I had Liza Minnelli, her daughter, I thought I might as well have Judy Garland as a girl of the day. Finally. A funny looking woman (like her daughter), Garland was probably the most extravagantly talented girl ever to come up in Hollywood. Movies are fake, of course, and Garland had a painful life in many ways in the real world, but film does capture something magical about personalities -- the spark, the bigness of heart, the light behind the eyes.
