Blessed John Paul II

Pope John Paul II was beatified today, the first step toward sainthood.   John Paul II was arguably the greatest man of the 20th Century.   The only man who even might be in the argument would be Winston Churchill, in my judgment.  FDR and Ronald Reagan and Gandhi might be in the next tier down.  

The crowds in Rome agree:
